Over the last few years the Superforming process has been used in several major automotive projects and has established itself as THE alternative for niche vehicle manufacture. Using this unique process has enabled some of the world’s leading car makers to introduce vehicles to market far faster than ever before whilst retaining all the inherent qualities of a metal bodied car.
Low investment tooling Cast single surface tools are cost effective and can be used for production quantities so minimising your investment.

Large panels Complex panels up to 3000mm x 2000mm x 600mm deep can be achieved in one piece without the need for high investment.
Post forming After forming the sheet reverts back to its room temperature properties and still has 22% elongation to enable flanging and clinching to be performed.
A Class finish The Superforming process can achieve an “A” Class surface as the external surface of the panel never comes in contact with any tools. The sheet is forced onto the tool using air pressure which ensures that you achieve A surface quality.

Styling & Design freedom Forming at 500˚C greatly enhances the formability of the sheet allowing it to conform to any concave or convex shape without any spring back, therefore you can achieve local styling features and subtle changes in surface which are impossible to obtain using other forming techniques.
Production intent tools Superform tools are single surface tools enabling quick manufacture and eliminating the need for a try out period. the tools you purchase for prototype manufacture can also be used for production as they are capable of producing in excess of 20,000 panels.
