Magnesium Intensive Car for Morgan.

Magnesium Superforming is to be developed by Morgan to be used as the primary material in the construction of a body-in-white structure for the EvaGT.

The use of magnesium, which is 30 per cent less dense than aluminium, will improve the stuctural performance of the chassis at a reduced comparative weight.

Superform to exhibit at Car Body Engineering 2011

Superform will be exhibiting Aluminium & Magnesium Superformed panels at the Automotive Circle Materials in Car Body Engineering 2011 Conference on the 11 - 12 May 2011 at Bad Nauheim/Germany.

The conference will be reviewing materials and innovative lightweight solutions for car body design. Superforming will be showing a Magnesium Door Inner and a one piece lightweight aluminium Bodyside.

Morgan Owners Club visit Superform

Superform were pleased to host a visit from 7 Morgan enthusiasts keen to understand how the Superforming technology works and how their complex shaped panels and unique styling were achieved. During the factory tour they were able to see the assembly of the Classic traditional wings and then the latest forming and laser technologies used to produce the panels for the Aeromax and Aero Supersport.
